Look kids, Batman is dead!! In what may be the worst kept secret in comics, the Dark Knight was killed in "Final Crisis #6"...and that is about all I understood about the issue.
This mini-series has been a head-scratcher from the get-go! So it looks like Batman had a "magic bullet" and shot Darkseid, but not before the God shot Bats with Omega Beams which killed Bruce Wayne.
While this is happening Superman is returning from the future after helping the Legion of Super-Heroes, and Wonder Woman has been turned into a monster spreading some sort of plague...good times!!!
All the other little heroes are either serving Darkseid or rebelling against them. There is nothing here we really haven't seen before in issues of JLA. But the fun part seems to be that the Earth is pretty much toast, and uber scientists have a back-up Earth to evacuate to....very convenient.
I long for the days of cross-overs I could understand.....you know the kind where Universes merge and you can tell who is dead! I guess I can't even review this since I don't even understand it!
Leave it Grant Morrison to write a mega event as obtuse as a Bergman film!!
